During this visit, former Minister of Health of Palau, Dr. Victor Yano, together with Forward Edge-AI founder and CEO Eric Adolphe and their delegation, visited EpiSante Biomedical on March 14, 2026, to engage in discussions and explore potential future collaborations.
Dr. Yano and his team held in-depth exchanges with EpiSante Biomedical regarding the introduction of early cancer detection technologies and services. EpiSante Biomedical shared its diagnostic platforms and clinical application experience, and proposed collaboration models tailored to Palau’s current healthcare resources and screening needs. Through technology transfer and the establishment of localized services, both parties aim to support Palau in building a sustainable cancer screening system, improving early detection rates and overall public health outcomes, while injecting new momentum into local healthcare development.
Meanwhile, the Forward Edge-AI team and EpiSante Biomedical conducted comprehensive discussions on expanding into the biomedical field. In addition to its strong foundation in artificial intelligence, Forward Edge-AI is actively seeking to extend its applications into healthcare, particularly by integrating its existing handheld spectroscopic analysis devices into clinical diagnostics. The discussions focused on combining AI-driven analytics with biomarker detection technologies to evaluate their potential in early cancer screening, with the goal of developing faster and more accessible diagnostic solutions.
In terms of specific collaboration directions, both parties initially focused on integrating technologies for liver cancer detection, aiming to enhance efficiency and accuracy through the combination of handheld spectroscopy and biomedical testing platforms. The scope of collaboration also extends to breast cancer detection, exploring possibilities for multi-cancer applications. If successfully implemented, this partnership could lead to the development of portable and intelligent cancer screening tools, further expanding into international markets and bringing new breakthroughs to precision medicine and early diagnosis.
Looking ahead, the joint visit by Dr. Yano and his delegation alongside Forward Edge-AI to EpiSante Biomedical has laid a strong foundation for international biomedical collaboration. By integrating AI technologies, handheld spectroscopic analysis, and advanced diagnostic platforms, all parties aim to promote the implementation of early cancer screening services in Palau, improving healthcare accessibility and diagnostic efficiency. As collaboration deepens, it is expected to expand to multiple cancer types and contribute to regional public health development, serving as a successful model for smart healthcare partnerships worldwide.
